Utilizing the 'auto tracking' mode, the camera can be 'locked' onto a subject, following that subject by analyzing the picture pixels to precisely track any movements.  Four available modes include 'manual', 'auto pan/tilt' (follows subject), 'auto pan/tilt/zoom' (follows subject and zooms to maintain size of subject), and 'automatic motion detection' (to automatically start a recorder).
